2-Pin vs 4-Pin
Important: 2-Pin and 4-Pin systems are not cross-compatible. Your detector, mount, and power cable must all use the same pin configuration.
- 2-Pin (Power Only): Your detector functions as it does today. All functions on the detector work. No remote mute switch.
- 4-Pin (Power + Mute/Alert/Data): Allows you to use a remote mute hardwire kit.

Wait until the glass is completely dry before mounting — the alcohol flash-evaporates in seconds and leaves zero residue.

Onto fully dry glass, press the 3M VHB firmly from the centre for the strongest bond.
Important: let the windscreen dry completely before pressing the mount's 3M VHB tape into place — dry glass gives the strongest bond.

2-Pin vs. 4-Pin Mounts — What’s the difference?
Are 2-Pin and 4-Pin mounts interchangeable?
No. They are completely non-interchangeable. They use different physical connectors and internal layouts. Mixing components or forcing a mismatched connection can permanently damage your radar detector.
Does my detector still fully function on 2-Pin?
Yes. All on-device features (Mute, Mark, top buttons, display, and audio alerts) work perfectly normal on both versions. "No alert out" simply means the 2-Pin mount cannot send signals to external, separate dash accessories (like a remote mute button or motorcycle helmet link).

This RadMag mount is totally legit!! It's super easy to install and very nice that you can remove your detector for safe hiding or remove when you might get pulled over. I got it to install so I could hardwire my detector into the fuse box so it would come on when I started my truck not knowing my detector would shut off and come on automatically. I still recommend this magnet mount because it cleans having wires hanging on your dash to your lighter plug. Clears up your windshield by getting rid of the suction cups as well. I totally recommend this mount 100%!!! Customer service with these guys at RadMag are super amazing and very helpful!!

This thing makes my life literally so much easier. Every day it would take me 2-3 minutes fiddling with my radar detector to take to down, just so I can fully put up my sunshade. I thought about even cutting a hole in my sunshade.
Thankfully, after some research and video watching, I found Rad Mag NZ!! I bought this right away. Super easy quick connect and disconnect? Literally the most perfect thing for me, and I even got to keep the functionality of my SmartCord, which other brands did not offer!! Soldering my 4 Pin connector was so easy. Wire labels were just on the website!
I even ordered the 2 pin to begin with, and when I went to cancel and reorder the correct 4 pin, my email was answered with MINUTES. I’ve never had this great of customer service before.

I bought the RadMag for my new Tesla Model Y. I initially tried to purchase a BlendMount, which I had previously used in my Jeep, but unfortunately, they don’t make one for the newer Teslas.
I found a company in New Zealand that sells the RadMag, and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. The magnet is incredibly strong, and I leave my radar detector mounted 24/7. So far, I haven’t had a single issue.
The customer service was phenomenal as well. Sumit answered all of my questions promptly and was extremely helpful. I also paid roughly $26 extra for expedited shipping and received the mount in the U.S. just three days later!
Overall, I highly recommend the RadMag. It’s a great product, the customer service is excellent, and the shipping was incredibly fast.
