Wire it your way

Power options to suit your install

Mirror tap
Piggyback the 12V feed already running to your powered rearview mirror. Spade plugs and back probes included - no cutting, fully reversible.
Hardwire kit
A 3 metre cable with a soldered ring-terminal ground loop and a stripped 12V lead - made for fuse taps and switched 12V sources inside the cabin.
Braided sleeving (optional)
Not a power option - a finish upgrade. Add braided sleeving to either kit for a cleaner cable run.

Every install is different.

Every car's electrical system is different, so every RAD MAG powered mount gives you the choice: tap the 12V feed at your mirror, or run a fuse tap from the cabin fuse box. We stock fuse taps too, and braided sleeving if you want the tidier look.

If you're not sure which to go with, message us - we'll do our best to help.

Choose your power option

Mirror tap
Plug-and-play

Mirror tap

Best if your mirror is powered and the feed is confirmed 12V.

  • Spade plugs + back probes - no cutting
  • Piggybacks the mirror's existing 12V feed
  • No fuse box trip, fully reversible

Not sure your mirror runs 12V? Check it with a multimeter first - or message us and we'll help. Or message us for advice.

Hardwire kit
Most reliable

Hardwire kit

Best for fuse taps and switched 12V from the cabin fuse box.

  • 3 metre cable - reaches any fuse box
  • Soldered ring-terminal ground loop
  • Stripped 12V lead, ready for a fuse tap

We stock fuse taps - add one to your order and you're set.

Not sure which? If your mirror is powered and confirmed 12V, go mirror tap. Anything else - hardwire it with a fuse tap.

Coming soon

Quick disconnects are coming to every powered receiver - swap between mirror tap and hardwire without rewiring.

Switched 12V only
Wire to a source that switches off with the ignition - a constant live feed will drain your battery overnight. Mirror tapping? Confirm the feed is actually 12V before you connect.
