Wipe the spot

Wait until the glass is completely dry - the alcohol flash-evaporates in seconds, zero residue.

Onto fully dry glass, press the 3M VHB firmly from the centre for the strongest bond.

Complete install guide

Step 01 - Prep

Wipe & dry the glass

Use the included isopropyl prep wipe to clean the mounting spot. Wait for it to flash-dry - 10–20 seconds. Zero residue, fully dry glass gives the best 3M VHB bond.

Step 02 - Mount

Press firmly, wait 24 hrs

Press the receiver from the centre outward for 30 seconds - never press on the logo side. Leave undisturbed for 24 hours before loading the detector.

Step 03 - Wire & drive

Connect power, snap in

Powered mounts: connect switched 12V via mirror tap or fuse tap (see below). Snap the detector arm into the mount and start driving.

Two ways to power your mount

Mirror tap (easiest)

Plug spade connectors into the power loom behind your rear-view mirror - no fuse box trip, no wire cutting. Drop the mirror cover, identify switched 12V + ground, slip the spades on, tuck the tail along the headliner and refit. Fully reversible.

Fuse tap (bare wire)

Run a switched 12V feed from a fuse slot in your fuse box and bolt the black ring terminal to a bare-metal chassis bolt for ground. Insert a 2A fuse in the slot farthest from the blade. Route wires along the headliner and down the A-pillar for a permanent, tidy result.

Before you connect

Always confirm switched (not constant) 12V with a multimeter before wiring - constant power drains your battery overnight. Mirror tap ends in two flat spade plugs; fuse tap ends in a red wire + black ring terminal.
